IELTS Essay Task 1: Coffee Production Bar Chart
The bar chart details coffee production in four countries from 1990 to 2010. Looking from an overall perspective, it is readily apparent that production rose in all countries except for Colombia. Brazil produced by far the most coffee throughout the period with the other three countries finishing with comparable totals.
In 1990, Brazil narrowly produced the most coffee at .9 million tonnes. This figure increased steadily and reached 1.9 million tons by 2010, more than four times higher than the next largest producer. In contrast, production in Colombia began the period at .6 million tonnes and fell consistently throughout the period to be even with Vietnam for the lowest total of just over .3 million tonnes by 2010.
Vietnam increased from the smallest exporter at .1 million tonnes in 1990 and 1995 to equal Colombia 20 years later. The final nation, Indonesia, underwent a steady climb from .2 million tonnes to double this figure (.4 million) to end the time surveyed.

The given bar chart illustrates data proportion of coffee products from the fourth different kinds of countries in a continent between 1990 to 2010.
Looking from an overall perspective, it is steadily apparent that Brazil showed a marginal decrease throughout. The two countries have risen slightly over the period, which were named Viet Nam and Indonesia. Colombia was the second-highest country, producing coffee just after Brazil, but it dipped gradually by the end of the period.
Looking first of all at Brazil, it began at around 0,6 million tons in 1990 which was being higher than others four times. Then was prevalent at a rate of nearly 1.8 million tons by 2010. In contrast, Colombia suffered dramatically from 0,5 to 0,1 in the total coffee exported.
Viet Nam was the least common coffee exportation just about 0.02 million tons in 1980, after this point it rose to approximately 0.3 million tons by the end of the period. The final nation was Indonesia, it stood at 0.2 tons then the figure doubled through the end of the time surveyed.

The bar chart illustrates the amount of coffee in million tonnes produced in four different countries (Brazil, Colombia, Indonesia, and Vietnam) from 1990 to 2000.
Overall, it can be seen that the coffee production in Brazil, Indonesia and Vietnam rose over the given period, while this figure showed a downward trend for Colombia. Also worth mentioning is that Brazil was the major producer of coffee throughout the period. Oppositely, Vietnam produced the least amount of coffee.
Notably, in 1990, Brazil produced 0.7 million tonnes of coffee. Over the next decade however, it jumped to 1.5 million tonnes, more than doubling the production in 2000. It then increased by 0.4 million tonnes over the next decade, peaking at 1.9 million tonnes in 2010.
In case of Indonesia, the figure remained static for the first five years at 0.2 million tonnes. It then gradually doubled the number in the final year. A similar trend emerged for Vietnam, leveling off at 0.1 million tonnes from 1990 to 1995 bu then reaching threefold by 2010. By contrast, coffee production in Colombia fell from 0.6 million tonnes in 1990 to 0.3 million tonnes in the final year, cutting the production exactly by half.
